南韓總統文在寅發表離任講話，呼籲新政府填平選戰各陣營之間的鴻溝，走向國民團結的道路。他又殷切希望南北韓重啟對話，繼續致力朝鮮半島無核化與和平。
文在寅在青瓦台表示，終於卸下總統的重擔，重返平凡公民的生活，祝願每一位國民生活幸福。他又說，任內兩韓關係未能更上一層樓，不能只怪南韓的決心和努力不夠，有些壁壘單憑韓方的意志是難以逾越。
南韓候任總統尹錫悅明日將正式就任，多位外國政要將會出席他的就職典禮，包括國家副主席王岐山。
