監警會發表2020至2021年度工作報告，全年獲通過的2300多項投訴指控中，72項投訴被列為獲證明屬實。監警會向部分個案提出改善建議。
其中一宗個案，涉及警方拘捕一名男子後，檢走他身穿的長褲，換成一條短褲替換，被捕男子其後獲法庭批准保釋兩日後因肺炎離世；另外，亦有個案涉及有人被捕後在警署遺失財物及手機內的資料。
