消息指，港鐵屯馬綫二期最快下月底開通，包括四個車站，分別是宋皇臺、土瓜灣、何文田和紅磡，二期開通之後，代表屯馬綫全綫開通。
港鐵主席歐陽伯權早上出席股東會前見傳媒時說，屯馬綫二期已經進行最後準備工作，開通時間需要與政府溝通。行政總裁金澤培則說，希望愈快開通愈好，測試基本上已經完成。
至於沙中綫過海段，金澤培說，剩下兩個關鍵工序，包括新車投入服務延遲了兩季，因此，過海段要按原定計劃明年開通是非常嚴峻。
